Quick Start Guide Learn how to use the PDF Creator Plus to convert and merge documents to pdf. |
Creating TIFF documents from any application is easy with PDF Creator Plus!
Whether it's a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint presentation, CAD drawing, or a custom document from an in-house application, you can convert it to TIFF, and even combine documents from different sources to create a complete TIFF archive.
Because TIFF is a widely adopted standard for archiving, faxing, and sharing documents, the TIFF files you create with PDF Creator Plus will be viewable by anyone you share them with.
Step-by-Step
Here is a step-by-step guide to create TIFF from from any document. After you do it once, you won't even need these details again - it's that easy!
| 1) | When you install PDF Creator Plus, a new printer named PDF Creator Plus 5.0 is also installed. You can find this printer in the Devices and Printers folder on Windows® 7, the Printers folder if you are running Windows Vista or the Printers and Faxes folder if you are running Windows® XP. |

| 2) | Open a your document in its native application, such as Microsoft® Word for a Word document, or AutoCAD® for a DWG file, then select File - Print from the application menu as if you were going to print a paper copy of your document. |
| 3) | In the Print dialog, select the PDF Creator Plus 5.0 printer and click OK. The actual print dialog for your application may differ slightly from the print dialog from Microsoft® Excel shown below. |

| 4) | PDF Creator Plus will open and display the printed document. |
| a) | To create your TIFF document now, select the Create TIFF button in the upper task window. |
| b) | If you want to add more pages to this project before creating your TIFF document, leave the PDF Creator Plus application open and print the desired files to the PDF Creator Plus 5.0 printer. When you have printed all required files, select the Create TIFF button. |

| 5) | The Create File dialog will appear: |
| a) | Browse to the location where you wish to save the TIFF image file and enter the file name for your new file. |
| b) | Make sure the Save as type is set to TIFF Image (*.tif). |
| c) | The Page Range options allow you to select a subset of pages that will be included in the TIFF image file created. |
| d) | Check the Create Multipaged File option to make a TIFF image file that contains all the pages in one (1) file, or uncheck this option to create serialized TIFF image images where each page is a separate image file. |
| e) | The Use Security, Embed Fonts, Include Outline and Include Hyperlink options are disabled (grayed out), as they are not applicable to TIFF files. |
| f) | Select Color Mode options - Color to create a color TIFF, Optimized to reduce each page to the fewest number of colors, Greyscale to create an image in 256 shades of gray or Monochrome to create a black and white TIFF. |
| g) | Select the Resolution at which to create the TIFF image. |

| 6) | Press the Save button to create your TIFF image. A progress dialog will appear as your document is being created. When all files are created the progress dialog will close. Your document is now a TIFF image file. It is ready to be archived, faxed, or emailed to others. |
