These are frequently asked questions about sales of PEERNET products.

You can find a complete list of all PEERNET software and the associated links to download a trial version of each software on our PEERNET Software Downloads page.

Get started by requesting a 30-day evaluation copy of our software. You will receive a download link via email. Follow the instructions provided in the email to download and install the software.

The evaluation copy will expire after 30-days and all outputs are watermarked. You need to purchase the product in order to create files without them being watermarked.

All products can be purchased online through PEERNET secure store. PEERNET accepts all major credit cards including: Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, Discovery. PEERNET is also fully integrated with PayPal so customers can pay directly via their PayPal accounts. Please contact PEERNET Sales if you would like to pay via Purchase Orders (from North America) and/or Wire Transfers.

You are required to set up an online account and place your order online whether paying via credit card or purchase order. Your account will always retain your sale information including your serial number and download link.

Delivery is done via email using the email address associated to your online account. The delivery time is as follows:

  • Credit Card Payment – immediately when transaction has been approved.
  • PayPal – immediately when transaction has been approved.
  • Purchase Order – upon receipt of a valid purchase order, order is completed and invoice emailed separately.
  • Bank or Wire Transfer – upon receipt of payment order is completed.

Note: At times email confirmations are retained by spam filters. Please check your spam filter if you do not receive our confirmation within 15 minutes. The software download and serial number can also be obtained from your online account as follows:

PEERNET’s subscription license is available for all license levels of TIFF Image Printer 12, PDF Image Printer 12, Raster Image Printer 12, Document Conversion Service 3.0, and PEERNET Reports.

A subscription license gives users complete access to all features of the software for the term of one (1) year term. When your annual subscription is valid, you have complete access to the software up to the limit of licenses purchased.

With a subscription license, users can:

  • activate and use the software up to the limit of number of licenses purchased
  • move the software to a new computer or re-load the software after a computer crash or operating system upgrade, either through your PEERNET online account or by contacting PEERNET
  • access all updates and upgrades released free of charge
  • rely on priority technical support from the PEERNET team

A subscription license gives you the confidence to switch computers, upgrade your operating system or reformat your computer without worrying about your PEERNET software. Furthermore, a subscription license provides the security that should your computer crash unexpectedly you know that you have not lost access to your software. In all of these situations, you can simply edit your activation details through your PEERNET online account or contact PEERNET to adjust your license so that you are able to re-load your license and continue using the software.

A subscription license must be renewed annually through your PEERNET online account in order to continue using the software and accessing the benefits detailed above.

PEERNET’s one-time license is only available for End User licenses of TIFF Image Printer 12, PDF Image Printer 12, and Raster Image Printer 12.

A one-time license gives users access to a perpetual activation of the software up to the limit of number of licenses purchased.

This is a classic software license meaning that you can go on using any license(s) you purchase for as long as you like, but once a license is consumed it can never be moved/transferred to a new computer or re-used after an operating system upgrade, computer crash or reformatting (any action that would change the computer identity).

With a one-time license, you are not entitled to request license adjustments from PEERNET or edit your activation details through your PEERNET online account. In addition, you will not receive any update or upgrades that are released. Lastly, you are only entitled to the most basic technical support.

PEERNET’s On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription is for a one (1) year term and includes the ability to request a license adjustment, priority technical support, and continuous access to your software download, including all updates and upgrades, via your PEERNET online account.

A license adjustment is required when the software is being moved from one computer to another computer, or being re-loaded after a computer crash or operating system upgrade. Essentially, you need a license adjustment any time the computer identity changes. Without a valid subscription, you would have to purchase a new license in any of these situations.

On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription also provides you the confidence that you have access to the latest release of the software at all times, and priority technical support if required. With an active subscription you will never have to purchase an upgrade.

Annually the subscription must be renewed through your PEERNET online account in order to continue accessing the above benefits. Note: For particular software and/or license levels, the annual renewal is mandatory in order to continue using the software.

Not applicable to TIFF Image Printer 12, PDF Image Printer 12, and Raster Image Printer 12.

It includes the ability to request a license adjustment, priority technical support (both email and telephone) and continuous access to your software download, including all updates and upgrades, via your PEERNET online account.

Essentially, you need a license adjustment any time the computer identity changes. Without a valid subscription, you would have to purchase a new license in any of these situations.

  4. Your purchased serial numbers will be listed.

Alternatively, if your product has been activated you can view your activation information, including your serial number, through the license wizard.

Your PEERNET online account contains a complete list of your purchased products with the applicable serial numbers and software download links. To retrieve the software download for your purchased product through your online account:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software download links will be listed.

If the latest software download link is not available, this means that you either need to upgrade to the latest version of the product, renew your subscription license, add the On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, or purchase a new license of the software in order to get access to the latest software update.

All PEERNET software is activated by entering your serial number into our license wizard which activates and authenticates your license by communicating with the PEERNET License Server via the internet. If the computer you are licensing does not have an internet connection, we do offer a manual activation process where you email a PROD ID file to peernet@peernet.com and we return a PROD AU file.

If you are not connected to the Internet, you will have to send us a manual license file that we will authorize and return.

Yes, you can add licenses to an existing serial number.

A serial number can have endless number of licenses, and additionally the more licenses you have attached to a single serial number, the lower the price per license. Therefore, it is beneficial to add to an existing serial number versus purchasing another license on a new serial number. For more information on available volume discounts, please see our complete volume discounts overview.

To add licenses to an existing serial number through your online account:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software will be listed. Select Manage Product for your desired serial number.
  5. Select Add Licenses for the applicable serial number. Note: For an existing subscription license or an existing license with a valid On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, the cost of the remaining subscription period will be pro-rated for the new licenses.
  6. Enter the quantity you wish to add to the existing serial number. Note: If you change the quantity, you need to click the Update button in the shopping cart before selecting Checkout.
  7. Select Checkout.

Upon completion of your purchase the number of licenses purchased will be added to the serial number.

You will also receive an email confirmation that will contain a summary of financial details, the serial number and the download link.

A license adjustment is required when the software is being moved from one computer to another computer. A license adjustment is when PEERNET adjusts your serial number to un-license your existing computer, which then allows you to license your new computer using the same serial number.

Only customers with either an active subscription license or an active On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription are entitled to move their software to a new computer.

To do so please, email peernet@peernet.com with your serial number, the name of your old computer, and the reason for the license adjustment so the reset can be authorized and completed. If you own a subscription license of TIFF Image Printer 12, PDF Image Printer 12 or Raster Image Printer 12 you can deactivate your old computer yourself by uninstalling the software or through your PEERNET online account by editing your activation details.

If you have let your On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription expire, PEERNET cannot carry out a license adjustment on your serial number. In order to remedy this, you will have to do one of the following:

  • Add an On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, if it is within one year of your initial purchase or within one year of the expiry date of a previously valid On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription.
  • Purchase a new serial number of the software that can be used for your new computer, with a valid On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription so you do not encounter this issue again.
  • Purchase an additional license that can be used for your new computer, if you are running the current version.
  • Purchase an upgrade to the latest version, if you are running a non-current version.

If you have let your subscription license expire, you are required to renew your annual subscription before you will be able to move a license to a new computer. If you own a one-time license, you do not have the ability to move your license to a new computer. In this situation you will either need to purchase a new one-time license or a new subscription license to activate the software on a new computer.

If you are a registered owner of our software and have an active subscription license or an active On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, any updates released will automatically appear in your PEERNET online account by updating the release version number of the software download button.

To download the latest release version of your purchased product:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software download links will be listed.

Online Store - Download Link Button

If you are a registered owner of an earlier version of our software, you will need to upgrade in order to access the latest version of your product. If you have an active On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, the upgrade is available through your PEERNET online account free of charge.

If you have let your On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription expire you will need to purchase the upgrade.

To upgrade an existing serial number through your online account:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software will be listed. Select Manage Product for your desired serial number.
  5. Select Purchase Upgrade. The upgrade button is only available 3 version back from the current release. Note: The store will default to the same number of licenses as you had previously. You can decrease the number of licenses if your requirements are now less. If you change the quantity, you need to click the Update button in the shopping cart before selecting Checkout.
  6. Select Checkout.

Upon completion of your purchase your new serial number and software download will be added to your my products list.

You will also receive an email confirmation that will contain a summary of financial details, the serial number and the download link.

If you are a registered owner of an earlier version of our software, we provide an upgrade discount when upgrading to the latest version of the same product. The discount rates are as follows:

For TIFF Image Printer, PDF Image Printer, and Raster Image Printer:

  • One version from current (11.0 to 12) – 15% discount
  • Two versions from current (10.0 to 12) – 10% discount

For Document Conversion Service:

  • One version from current (2.0 to 3.0) – 15% discount

For File Conversion Center:

  • One versions from current (5.0 to 6.0) – 15% discount

For PDF Creator Plus:

  • One version from current (6.0 to 7.0) – 15% discount

Note: These rates apply to the software cost and not the cost of the On-Going Licensing and Support subscriptions.

To upgrade an existing serial number through your online account:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software will be listed. Select Manage Product for your desired serial number.
  5. Select Purchase Upgrade. The upgrade button is only available 3 version back from the current release. Note: The store will default to the same number of licenses as you had previously. You can decrease the number of licenses if your requirements are now less. If you change the quantity, you need to click the Update button in the shopping cart before selecting Checkout.
  6. Select Checkout.

If you are a registered owner of our software and have an active subscription license or an active On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, any updates released (ie. version 12.0.001 to version 12.0.002) will automatically appear in your PEERNET online account by updating the release version number of the software download button.

To download the latest release version of your purchased product:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software download links will be listed.

Online Store - Download Link Button

If you are a registered owner of an earlier version of our software and have an active On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription, you can request the upgrade (ie. version 11.0 to version 12) through your PEERNET online account free of charge.

To request the upgraded version of your purchased product:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software will be listed. Select Manage Product for your desired serial number.
  5. Select Upgrade. The upgrade will be added to your online shopping cart for zero dollars.
  6. Select Checkout and walk through a zero dollar transaction.

OGSUpgrade

Upon completion of the transaction your new serial number and software download will be added to your my products list.

You will also receive an email confirmation that will contain the serial number and the download link.

In order to continue accessing the benefits of your subscription license or the On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription (ability to move/transfer a license to a new computer or re-license a computer after a crash or operating system upgrade, priority technical support, and access to all updates and upgrades free of charge), the subscription must be renewed annually. Note: For particular software and/or license levels, the annual renewal is mandatory in order to continue using the software (ie. subscription license, Document Conversion Service, Unlimited License, Pre-Authorized Open License).

You will receive automated notification emails to the email address associated with the online account 45 days, 20 days, and 5 days in advance of the expiry date to remind you of the annual renewal.

To renew your annual subscription through your online account:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software will be listed. Select Manage Product for your desired serial number.
  5. Select Renew Annual Subscription or Renew On-Going Licensing and Support Subscription for the applicable serial number.
  6. Select Checkout.

Upon completion of your purchase your subscription expiry date will be updated in your my products list.

You will also receive an email confirmation that will contain a summary of financial details as well as any relevant renewal instructions. Some products require you to take steps after purchasing your annual renewal while others do not.

If you are the person responsible for your PEERNET software and the registered owner of your company’s online account, you can permit others to have access to the product’s download link, access to purchasing, or both.

First, the other individuals that you want to have access need to open an PEERNET online account on the PEERNET website if they don’t have one already.

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Select the My Products tab.
  4. Your purchased software will be listed. Select Manage Product for your desired serial number.
  5. Under Linked Accounts, select the action Add and enter the email address of the other users account. You can then adjust their permissions by enabling/disabling Allow Download or Allow Purchases or both. Select Update to save your changes.

Adding Linked Owner for Access to Serial Number

Allow Download – The linked user will just have access to the software download. They will not be able to purchase new software, purchase more licenses, or purchase or process free upgrades.

Allow Purchases – The linked user will be able to do any financial transaction for the applicable serial number (ie. renew annual subscriptions, purchase additional licenses, purchase or process free upgrades). Note: The order record will remain in the online account that completed the transaction.

In all cases, the registered owner online account and any linked online accounts will receive any notification emails with respect to annual subscription renewals and product notification emails relating to the release of updates and upgrades.

All online account holders can control the delivery of Product Notifications through their PEERNET online account.

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Under My Account, scroll down to Email Notification.
  4. By deselecting a product, the Product Notifications will stop. You also have the option of adding products even if you do not own that specific software.

PEERNET does not send out an abundance of Product Notifications. We only want to be in-touch when we have something important to share. Therefore we only send out a Product Notification when we have released a new update or upgrade.

Begin by adding your purchase to your online shopping cart and selecting Checkout. The default payment method for our online store is Credit Card, but you have the option to change it to Purchase Order, and then proceed through the checkout process.

A pending order will be setup and you will receive a confirmation email for your pending order along with the financial details. If a formal Quote is required either in PDF format or to print, please return to your online account. Under My Account, select View Order History to download your PDF Quote.

Click the Quote button for your pending order to either save or print.

When PEERNET receives your purchase order, we will complete your order and invoice you accordingly.

All invoices can be obtained directly from your PEERNET online account for any of your purchases.

To obtain your PDF invoice through your online account:

  1. Please go to Login.
  2. Please sign in using your email address and password.
  3. Under “My Account”, select View Order History.
  4. All of your orders will be listed. Select the applicable order to download the invoice.

All PEERNET software has a free 30 day fully functional trial. We highly recommend that purchasers first try out the products by downloading and installing the evaluation version.  All evaluation products are completely functional with the exception of evaluation watermarks that are placed on the outputs. When evaluating the product, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team at support@peernet.com with any questions you may have, we are here to help.

If a return is required, returns can be requested within 30 day of purchase date. The return will be evaluated and an answer provided within 3 business days of the request.

PEERNET is Canadian Company so if a W9 is required PEERNET will supply a W-8BEN – Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding.
