License Levels
PEERNET products are available at various license levels. For our license level recommendations, select your user level and your software:
As a personal or individual user we recommend you purchase an End User license of TIFF Image Printer. A single end user license of TIFF Image Printer will allow you to install and license a single computer/workstation with the software.
An End User license is:
- Licensed by workstation.
- Must be licensed and authenticated by manually entering the serial number.
- Not usable in Windows Service or Schedule task.
- Only usable by logged in desktop user.
- Only usable in interactive sessions.
As a personal or individual user we recommend you purchase an End User license of Raster Image Printer. A single end user license of Raster Image Printer will allow you to install and license a single computer/workstation with the software.
An End User license is:
- Licensed by workstation.

- Only usable by logged in desktop user.
- Only usable in interactive sessions.

If there is one user per computer then each computer will only need a single license. However, if there are more than one user on a computer then multiple licenses will be required (one for each user).

- Must be licensed and authenticated by manually entering the serial number.
As a business or small group user we recommend you purchase multiple End User licenses of TIFF Image Printer, Raster Image Printer, or PDF Image Printer. An individual end user license will allow you to install and license a single computer/workstation with the software.

An End User license is:
- Licensed by workstation.

If you need to license more than 50 licenses, you may be better served by an Unlimited End User License.
As a business or small group user we recommend you purchase multiple End User licenses of PDF Creator Plus. An individual end user license of PDF Creator Plus will allow you to install and license a single user with the software.
If there is one user per computer then each computer will only need a single license per computer/workstation. However, if there are more than one user on a computer then multiple licenses will be required; one for each user on each computer/workstation.

An End User license is:
- Licensed by user.

As a business or small group user we recommend you purchase multiple Standard licenses of File Conversion Center. An individual standard license of File Conversion Center will allow you to install and license a single computer/workstation with the software. If you are installing the software on a terminal or Citrix server, the number of licenses required is based on the number of users that will be using the installed software.
PEERNET offers volume discounts for the purchase of multiple licenses beginning at 5 licenses.
A Standard license will allow the user to manually initiate the batch conversion of any number of files or folders from the desktop using the Convert To menu, desktop converter bins, and/or the advanced application interface.
If you require command line options for silent commands, please see our Professional license of File Conversion Center. That said, if you need to convert large volumes of documents on a continuous basis, then we recommend looking at our Document Conversion Service software instead as it can run 24/7 to convert large volumes of document in an automated and unattended fashion.
Document Conversion Service is a server-based, fully automated, Windows product used to seamlessly integrate document conversion into your workflow. As opposed to our image printer solutions, Document Conversion Service will centralize your file conversion needs to a server environment.
As a business or small group user we recommend you purchase either an Entry Level or Level I license of Document Conversion Service. An Entry Level license will activate a single physical or virtual server for processing up to one document at a time. A Level I license will activate a single physical or virtual computer for processing up to three documents concurrently.
Document Conversion Service can work on converting documents created by hundreds, or even thousands, of users as it can be configured to monitor folders on your network share.
PEERNET offers volume discounts for the purchase of multiple licenses beginning at 2 licenses.
If you need to convert more documents concurrently, you may be better served by a Level II or Level V license.
As an enterprise or corporate user we recommend you purchase either an Unlimited End User license or Pre-Authorized Open license of TIFF Image Printer, Raster Image Printer, or PDF Image Printer.
We generally recommend an Unlimited End User license when you have 50-100 users. If you have hundreds, or even thousands, of users, you are better served by a Pre-Authorized Open license. In addition, if you intend to distribute the software in a software push, clone or provision virtualized machines, or utilize a gold-copy without the need to license each machine, you will need a Pre-Authorized Open license.
- An Unlimited End User license:
- Licenses an unlimited number of workstations.
- Must be licensed and authenticated by manually entering the serial number on each workstation.
- Not usable in Windows Service or Schedule task.
- Not usable for Terminal Server or Citrix Server users.
- Only usable by logged in desktop user.
- Only usable in interactive sessions.
- A Pre-Authorized Open license:
- Licenses an unlimited number of workstations or servers.
- Does not require licensing. License is pre-authorized for companies that need to install hundreds of computers, automated installations, or pre-installed configurations that are deployed in an automated fashion.
- Usable in Windows Service or Schedule task.
- Usable for Terminal Server or Citrix Server users.
- Usable by logged in desktop user or service user.
- Usable in interactive and non-interactive sessions.
As an enterprise or corporate user we recommend you purchase a Pre-Authorized Open license of PDF Creator Plus. If you have hundreds, or even thousands, of users, the best license level for you is the Pre-Authorized Open license. In addition, if you intend to distribute the software in a software push, clone or provision virtualized machines, or utilize a gold-copy without the need to license each machine, you will need a Pre-Authorized Open license.
A Pre-Authorized Open license:
- Licenses an unlimited number of users.
- Does not require licensing. License is pre-authorized for companies that need to install hundreds of computers, automated installations, or pre-installed configurations that are deployed in an automated fashion.
Document Conversion Service is a server-based, fully automated, Windows product used to seamlessly integrate document conversion into your workflow. As opposed to our image printer solutions, Document Conversion Service will centralize your file conversion needs to a server environment.
As an enterprise or corporate user we recommend you purchase either a Level II or Level V license of Document Conversion Service. A Level II license will activate a single physical or virtual server for processing up to six document at a time. A Level V license will activate a single physical or virtual computer for processing up to ten documents concurrently.
Document Conversion Service can work on converting documents created by hundreds, or even thousands, of users as it can be configured to monitor folders on your network share.
Note: A Level V license can be very CPU intensive. Therefore, we often recommend purchase multiple Level II licenses, to be run in a clustered environment, to improve overall performance and ensure failover support.

If you require a non-production license for testing purposes, we would recommend purchasing an Entry Level license.
PEERNET Reports’ barcoding, labeling, and advanced reporting tools, are primarily deployed embed and tightly integrated with your own Java webstart, desktop, or J2EE application. Our PEERNET Reports software is exclusively designed for enterprise or corporate users, and is available in three license levels:
A Designer Only Edition license:
- Provides access to PEERNET Reports Designer desktop application only.
- Licensed by user. If there is one user per computer then each computer will only need a single license. However, if there are more than one user on a computer then multiple licenses will be required (one for each user).
A In-House Edition license:
- Provides full access to all components of PEERNET Reports.
- A separate In-House Edition license is required for each application and/or solution this software is integrated into within an organization
- An In-House Edition license does not permit the distribution of any portion of this software outside of the licensee’s organization.
A Distribution Edition license:
- Provides full access to all components of PEERNET Reports for the purpose of developing a solution and then distributing the redistributable portion of the software as part of a combined product offering sold by the licensee.
As a terminal or Citrix server user we recommend you purchase an Terminal Server license of TIFF Image Printer. A single terminal server license of TIFF Image Printer will allow you to activate single terminal or Citrix server with an unlimited number of remote desktop users accessing that server.

A Terminal Server license is:
- Licensed by terminal/Citrix server. Each terminal/Citrix server allows an unlimited number of remote desktop users.

- Only usable by logged in desktop user.
