The grid is a network of dots that helps you align components in the Design View. When you enable the Snap to Grid option, a moved or resized component’s top left corner will snap to the closest dot on the grid.

 

To enable the grid in the Design View

 

1.Click View – Grid.

2.Select a spacing option for the grid from the drop-down list.

3.Enable the Show Grid checkbox.

4.Click OK.

 

To change grid spacing

 

1.Click View – Grid.

2.Select a new spacing option for the grid from the drop-down list.

3.Click OK.

 

To have components align themselves on the grid

 

1.Click View – Grid.

2.Enable the Snap to Grid checkbox.

3.Click OK.
