The component locking option allows you to prevent a component from being moved accidentally (locked components cannot be moved by dragging).

 

To lock a component, select the component you want to lock, then click the Lock Component button on the toolbar (a red square will appear on this button when a component is locked). To unlock a locked component, select the component and click the Lock Component button again.
