PEERNET Reports Designer has been optimized for ease-of-use, allowing users to have quick access to application commands, and a simple interface for designing and customizing reports and other project items.

 

The application interface contains a menu bar, toolbars, a status bar, and a main window, which is divided into the Project Pane, the Properties Pane, and the Design Window. The menu bar and toolbars sit at the top of the application interface, and the status bar sits at the bottom. In the main window, the Project Pane occupies the top-left area, the Properties Pane occupies the bottom-left area, and the Design Window occupies the entire right-hand side.

 

Note that the sample project Chapter03_Navigating.pnj contains a sample table, report, label, query, and custom paper stock for you to explore. You can access this project by clicking File – Open Project in the application menu, then enabling the Open a sample project option.
