You can add computed fields for your labels and reports. Computed fields will appear as sub-items under the Computed Fields item of the specific report or label. For example, the report shown below contains two computed fields, QuantityPageTotal and QuantityReportTotal:

 

 

Once you have created a computed field, you can set the Value field for specific design components (such as text boxes and bar codes) to that computed field.

 

Note that the sample project Chapter13_ComputedFields.pnj contains a report called Report1 that includes computed fields for you to try out. You can access this project by clicking File – Open Project in the application menu, then enabling the Open a sample project option.
