Adding design components to labels

In the Design View you can add components such as Text Fields, Bar Codes, Lines, Rectangles, Polygons, Ellipses, Rounded Rectangles, Pictures, and Styled Text to your labels. You can then modify and format these components as required.

To add a design component to a label

1.Click Insert(Design Component Option).

2.Click the location on the label where you want the component to appear.

For example, to add a Text Field and bind it to a value in one of your tables:

1.Click InsertText Field.

2.Click the location on the label where you want the text field to appear.

3.In the Properties Pane, from the Value drop-down list, select a field from one of your tables (table fields appear in the drop-down list in the format =[TableFieldName]).

Or, to add a Rectangle shape and give it a blue background:

1.Click InsertShapeRectangle.

2.Click and hold the left mouse button at the location on the label where you want the Rectangle to begin, then drag the Rectangle to the desired size.

3.In the Properties Pane, from the Fill Style drop-down list, select Opaque.

4.In the Properties Pane, from the Fill Color drop-down list, select fill_color_blue.

Once added, each design component has properties that you can edit.
