Adding and removing report Section Breaks

You can add Section Breaks to the Detail, Report Header, Report Footer, and user-defined sort group header and footer sections of your report. Note that you cannot add Section Breaks to your Page Header or Page Footer sections. Section Breaks will appear as dotted blue lines in the Design View of your report:

Adding Section Breaks to a report allows you to decide exactly when the application will split a section when printing a report. For example, your Detail section might include the front and back components of an ID card; you could use a Section Break to ensure the front and back components were printed on different pages or different labels. Or, you might have a picture on your report that is too big to fit on one page; you could use a Section Break to determine exactly where the picture is split when printed.
